Jones completed 19 of 24 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-24 win over the Giants. He added four rushing attempts for four yards.
Jones will start Sunday's game at the Giants, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
After leading Alabama to a national championship, the first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft was good enough to start as a rookie and make the Pro Bowl. He is an accurate thrower who can hit receivers in stride, and he has a good feel for pressure in the pocket and how to evade it. He is not much of a risk-taker and will take a sack to avoid interceptions. Needs to get a little stronger and improve his release time as he ages.
Long Range Potential: Solid, mature quarterback who needs talent around him.
