The Steelers are signing Thornhill to a one-year deal, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Scouting Report
A second-round draft pick out of the University of Virginia, he is a good athlete with solid coverage skills. Is at his best when he plays the role of center-fielder because he can read plays well. Could stand to improve his tackling ability. Is better on passing downs than against the run. Is a threat to turn interceptions into touchdowns because of his speed and agility.
Long Range Potential: Solid, deep safety.
