Smoot (Achilles) was designated to return from the reserve/PUP list Wednesday.
Features a big enough frame to succeed as a pro pass rusher, and already has the bulk and muscle mass to get a good push off the snap. Uncommonly athletic for his size, and has a good wingspan for swim-moving over blockers. Displays untapped versatility and potential. Not particurly proven as a pass rusher, and might be better suited as a hybrid end-tackle in the NFL. Still needs to develop his overall skill-set to get the most from his exceptional athletic ability. Raw overall.
Long Range Potential: Raw but intriguing defensive lineman.
