Updating a previous report, Dawson has been placed on the Steelers' injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury, per the NFL's transaction log.
Scouting Report
He shows excellent anticipation overall: he's a regular factor for pickoffs, and when the interception isn't there he does a nice job of busting up receptions. Defends his share of passes as well, and can pile up tackles in bunches. Not ideally tall for a pro defensive back. Consistency is an issue; he does everything pretty well, but seems to disappear for stretches.
Long Range Potential: Talented defensive back with some starter tools.
