Guenette was traded to the Flyers from the Senators on Monday in exchange for Dennis Gilbert. Additionally, Guenette agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract.
Scouting Report
Has good size for an NHL defenseman, plus solid puck-moving ability. Put up very good numbers in both the QMJHL and AHL, but is more of an all-around, complementary blueliner at the highest level. Could stand to add even more bulk to his big frame. Needs to play with greater game-to-game consistency.
Long Range Potential: Big complementary defenseman.
