Romanov had a pair of assists in the Islanders 4-2 victory over Columbus on Thursday.
Romanov (lower body) will be a game-time decision versus the Kraken on Tuesday.
Was a highly regarded defenseman coming from the KHL to the NHL because of his skating, poise and ability to make a good first pass, but he is still trying to refine his game and get used to the smaller North American rinks. Is a smooth skater with terrific lateral mobility who can make a solid breakout pass. He is very mobile, can play either side and should improve as he gets stronger and more accustomed to the NHL. Loves physical contact, too.
Long Range Potential: Top-flight two-way defenseman.
