Carolina has reclaimed Primeau off waivers from Toronto on Saturday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Primeau was placed on waivers by the Hurricanes for the purpose of assignment to AHL Chicago, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports Sunday.
The son of former NHL center Keith Primeau is not quite as big as his father, but he nonetheless fills the net in impressive fashion. In fact, he will look even bigger and more intimidating to opposing shooters once he completely fills out his 6'3" frame. Has the ability to shut the door with aplomb, since he is both technically sound and an athletic netminder who can make the spectacular save when required. His pedigree is off the charts. Like most goalkeepers, consistency at the NHL level will be the key to his overall level of production (and team success).
Long Range Potential: Big depth goaltender.
