Andersson scored a shorthanded goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two PIM, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Capitals.

Scouting Report

The Swedish defenseman has the size and lower-body strength to win puck battles, even against bigger opponents, as well as the agility to join the attack when needed. A regular on the penalty kill, he added power-play responsibilities later on, boosting his ice time to more than 20 minutes per game on a regular basis. Brash, he has a big personality and an infectious attitude that rubs off positively on his teammates.
