Ekman-Larsson (ankle) was activated from injured reserve Tuesday, per CapFriendly.
Ekman-Larsson (ankle) isn't expected to play again this season, coach Rick Tocchet told Patrick Johnston of the Vancouver Province.
He remains one of the NHL's best skating defensemen, even after turning 30, moving effortlessly and excelling in joining the attack. Is still capable of playing more than 20 minutes per game and can be used in all situations, including the power play. His game without the puck gets a little shaky at times and he is not terribly physical, meaning he is best when paired with a stay-at-home partner.
Long Range Potential: Veteran minute-munching defenseman.
