Scouting Report

He is on the far side of 30 now but still has the speed that made him the No. 3 pick in the 2009 NHL Draft. Has struggled with high expectations and has rarely been the difference maker expected of a player with his draft pedigree, scoring as many as 30 goals just twice in his first decade in the NHL. Switching to a longer stick has helped his play at both ends of the ice. At his best, he’s a speedy scoring winger who can set up teammates enough to keep defenses honest.
