A dynamic outside pass rusher, he has an instinctive nose for the football and a knack for finding the quarterback. His sack totals can spike with increased playing time. Covers a ton of ground in a hurry. Brings pressure by corralling the passer and beating edge blockers with speed and guile. A former wrestler, he uses body weight and hand skills to exert leverage when he is one on one. Was somewhat slow to evolve into a reliable starter at the NFL level but he paid his dues on special teams to earn more snaps.
