The Saints placed Blackmon (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Blackmon will undergo surgery to address the shoulder injury he suffered during Sunday's 20-13 loss versus the Cardinals, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
A former star at the University of Utah, he is a tremendous athlete capable of playing either safety or cornerback in the National Football League. Has a nose for the ball that is second to none, so playmaking is his specialty. Is probably at his best as a deep cover safety because he reads the quarterback's eyes exceptionally well. Could stand to improve his tackling ability at the NFL level. Can also be used on blitzes, due to his supreme athleticism.
Long Range Potential: Stellar defensive back.
