Coach Steve Wilks said Friday that he expects Walker to start Week 11 against Baltimore but will continue to evaluate the QB position ahead of the game, Augusta Stone of the Panthers' official site reports.
Walker completed 10 of 16 passes for 108 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed three times for 14 yards in the Panthers' 25-15 win over the Falcons on Thursday night.
An undrafted quarterback out of Temple University, he bounced around NFL rosters before making the most of his XFL experience and earning a second chance. He has an impressive arm and decent mobility, though he has yet to show the kind of accuracy needed to succeed at the NFL level. He also has to be more careful with the ball and avoid interceptions.
Long Range Potential: Undersized depth quarterback.
