Stidham and the Broncos agreed on a two-year, $12 million contract Sunday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Stidham did not attempt a throw across four regular-season games in 2024 but did register four carries for five yards.
Being drafted by New England speaks volumes about his skill set and character. Efficient and capable in two seasons as a starter in college, he can manage a game while minimizing risk and limiting turnovers. Makes strong, accurate throws from the pocket, where he is most comfortable. Also displays adequate mobility to roll out and throw on the run. Tends to lose focus when his protection caves. Showed signs of regression in his final season at college and may need a little extra time before becoming a starting quarterback in the NFL; he needs time to acclimate to a more complex offense.
Long Range Potential: Decent quarterback with upside.
