Golden State assigned Melton to the Santa Cruz Warriors before recalling him Friday.
The Warriors announced Wednesday that Melton (knee) will miss at least three more weeks.
He's a defensive playmaker in the backcourt, and is a constant threat for steals. Will also block his share of shots. He's a good rebounder for a guard too, and a solid passer. Brings solid height to the NBA point guard spot. Has a very good wingspan and reach as well. Shooting the ball is a challenge and a struggle; he has a tough time hitting from long range, and is streaky on free throws. He needs to keep rounding out his game to be more than a defense-first role player as a pro.
Long Range Potential: Excellent defensive combo guard, with rotational talent.
