The Grizzlies announced Monday that Jerome (calf) will be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Jerome (calf) will be further evaluated this weekend, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
A key member of the NCAA's Virginia Cavaliers, who eventually won the national championship, he was the floor general for Tony Bennett's team in the collegiate ranks. While he has the basketball IQ to play point guard, his size and outside shot make him a candidate for two-guard duties in the NBA. While he lacks optimum athleticism for the highest level, especially when playing defense, he makes up for his lack of hops by anticipating and moving quickly around the court. Still, certain athletes will always give him problems in the NBA. Also, he could stand to get stronger.
Long Range Potential: Solid combo guard with some upside.
