Niang (foot) will not play against the Suns on Friday, as expected.
Niang (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports.
Polished, skilled, and supremely smart with the ball. Capable of running the offense as a point-forward, and makes intelligent reads on offense. An excellent ball-handler and passer for his size, and makes a nice effort as a rebounder. Can hit the three with regularity, and is excellent on free throws. Brings an old-school game on 'O.' Not very athletic, not much of a leaper, and struggles on the defensive end with foul trouble. Doesn't bring great lateral 'quicks' on 'D' and is far from a bruiser under the hoop to make up for it. Somewhat a wing playmaker in a power forward's frame (although he doesn't have a great wingspan).
Long Range Potential: Smart, polished point-forward with seventh man tools.
