Cessa signed a minor-league contract with the Pirates on Tuesday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a quality repertoire and good stuff overall. Can make batters swing and miss with regularity in the minor leagues. Can be used as either a starter or reliever in the bigs, which adds value. Is somewhat raw and wild on the mound, which can lead to too many walks (especially for Major League Baseball). Also, he does not have the greatest stamina and could stand to add more bulk.
Long Range Potential: Raw, talented right-hander with some upside.
