BRASSARD BROUGHT IN BY EDMONTON

The Edmonton Oilers acquired forward Derick Brassard from the Philadelphia Flyers for a fourth-round draft pick in 2023.

What does it give the Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers have phenomenal center depth, so Brassard might be used on the wing in Edmonton. He gives them more options, since the likes of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Ryan McLeod can also play both center and wing.

What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers are basically starting over after trading away captain Claude Giroux earlier in the week. Justin Braun was sent to the Rangers and now Brassard to Edmonton. There could be many more moves this coming off-season.

Fantasy impact
Brassard might be worth picking up as a depth option in some leagues, but his ice time could be limited.
