Kakko logged two assists, including one on the power play, and added two shots on net and two hits in Monday's 3-1 win over the Ducks.
Head coach Lane Lambert said Monday that Kakko is dealing with an illness but thinks he should be good to go for Tuesday's game against Colorado, Sound of Hockey reports.
The second player taken in the 2019 NHL Draft is a big forward who has all the tools for stardom, but is still trying to put it all together as he heads toward the prime of his NHL career. He has an excellent combination of size, skill and hockey sense, and he succeeded playing against men while still a teenager. Has to get stronger and learn how to use that strength. Also has to cope with Type 1 diabetes and celiac disease.
Long Range Potential: Big, talented winger with upside.
