Johnson signed a three-year, $2.325 million contract with the Sabres on Tuesday.
Scouting Report
Is very much prototypical of the modern-day NHL defenseman: extremely mobile with great skating ability overall, can be used in all game situations and log big minutes, plus he provides solid offensive support from the back end. Also, he owns a fairly projectable 6'0" frame. Has good hockey genes as the son of former NHLer Craig Johnson.
Long Range Potential: Mobile defenseman with some upside.
