Unlike brother Cal Foote, he did not follow in father Adam Foote's, er, footsteps as a rock-steady defenseman. Instead, he plays a power game from the wing position with excellent size, very good hockey sense, burgeoning strength and a great shot. He also displays the competitiveness and grit that has become a family staple. Has the hands of a natural goal-scoring winger but he needs to work on his skating in order to maximize output in the NHL.
