Byram scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, logged three hits and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Stars.

The young defenseman loves to get up into the rush, and has the speed and mobility to do it without sacrificing defense. Showed in junior hockey that he has the skills and shot to pile up huge point totals and play 20-plus minutes at a high level on a nightly basis. Has a little nasty streak too, which works well for a defenseman. He is still working to improve his play in the defensive zone and must prove he can avoid injuries (concussion issues are a serious problem for him).
Long Range Potential: Mega-talented defenseman with big upside (when healthy).
