Sturm scored an empty-net goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.
Sturm (upper body) is in warmups and will play Sunday against the Bruins, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
The undrafted forward was born in Germany but came to North America in his late teens and excelled in college hockey before turning pro. Plays a mature, smart game and can make an impact even when he is not putting up points because of his play away from the puck. He is a decent playmaker who is strong on his skates and has a little bit of finish, but he lacks the offensive dynamism that would make him more than a role player.
Long Range Potential: Speedy defensive forward.
