Malenstyn registered an assist, five hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
Malenstyn scored a goal on three shots, added four hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 5-1 win over the Oilers.
Is an industrious forward who hits hard and can also be used to kill penalties. Will not hurt his team defensively but is not going to contribute a lot of offense because he has never shown consistent scoring ability at lower levels. There is a niche he can fit in as a physical, grinding forward, but that is a very crowded position and he will have lots of competition for an NHL job.
Long Range Potential: Organizational depth forward.
