Ahcan was called up from AHL Colorado on Friday.
Scouting Report
He was once named Defenseman of the Year in the USHL, and later became an NCAA West Second Team All-American selection as a junior at St. Cloud State University. Moves very well on the ice: forward, backward and laterally. Was a solid point producer in the NCAA ranks. Lacks ideal size and strength for the National Hockey League.
Long Range Potential: Diminutive, mobile puck-moving defenseman.
