Rooney was recalled from AHL Tucson on Thursday.
Scouting Report
The big, grinding forward is starting to show a little more scoring ability as he heads toward his 30s. Has grown into a sound two-way player who can forecheck and kill penalties, and his shot has improved. Makes the most of his ice time in a limited role.
Long Range Potential: Gritty, versatile depth forward.
