Gardner has cleared waivers and will play for their AHL affiliate, according to the Stars website.
Scouting Report
Has good size and strong awareness on the ice. Can play either center or wing. Is valuable in penalty-killing situations and rather responsible on the ice. Is not much of a point producer (even at lower levels), so he is not a good candidate to play as a top-six forward at the National Hockey League level.
Long Range Potential: Big, strong defensive forward with a little upside.
