A rare (by today's standards) NHL goaltender who is less than six feet tall, his cat-quick reflexes more than make up for any lack of size. The Finnish puck stopper took some time to get used to the NHL, especially in terms of the smaller ice surface, but has learned how to wait out shooters and get in and out of his stance quickly. His lateral quickness is a massive plus. Like many European goalkeepers, he often sets up deep in his crease, but he is doing a better job of protecting the upper half of the net when he does.
