Burroughs (upper body) was put on waivers Saturday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, which indicates that LA has also activated him off injured reserve.
Burroughs (upper body) practiced in a non-contact sweater Thursday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.
The journeyman spent six seasons in the minors (after being selected in the seventh round of the 2013 draft) before finally seeing the ice in the NHL for the first time. He got there because he is willing to play a physical game and step up for his teammates when needed, despite only average size. Having realized his NHL dream, he plays every shift like he has no intention of giving it up.
Long Range Potential: Gritty depth defenseman.
