Vejmelka was the first goalie to exit the ice Monday, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports, indicating he'll defend the cage at home versus Vegas.
Vejmelka stopped 29 of 33 shots on goal in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
A tall goaltender from Czechia, he has a nice combination of size and mobility. Was a two-time champion in the Czech Extraliga before opting to come to North America six years after originally being taken in the NHL draft, but will need some time to adapt to smaller rinks in North America. Is a rare right-catching netminder, which makes him a bit more difficult for shooters to read.
