Has grown into a greater defense-minded role after entering the NHL as more of an offensive defenseman. He still has plenty of mobility and a huge shot that is a weapon from the point, but now spends more time killing penalties than on the power play. He can play well over 20 minutes per game on a consistent basis, though he is not always as physical as his size would indicate he should be. Excels at shutting down scorers.
