Manson scored a goal on three shots, added two hits, blocked four shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the Sharks.
Manson signed a two-year, $7.9 million contract extension with the Avalanche on Thursday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. His new deal runs through the 2027-28 campaign.
The son of longtime NHL defenseman Dave Manson plays the same position as dad but does it differently, especially when it comes to fighting. He is big and strong, can play a physical game while averaging 20 minutes per game. His offensive numbers have dropped off after his mid-20s but he remains a solid citizen along the blueline.
