Forsberg stopped 21 of 25 shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche. The fifth goal was an empty-netter late in the third period.
Forsberg is slated to start on the road against Colorado, per Zach Dooley on LA Kings Insider.
The Swedish goalkeeper is still trying to translate his success at home and in the AHL into a full-time role in the NHL. Has good size (6’2”) but needs to fill out and add strength to maximize his skills. At his best, he is a butterfly netminder who likes to challenge shooters. Remains somewhat raw and needs work on his technique in order to become consistent enough to play at the NHL level.
Long Range Potential: Inconsistent but talented goaltender.
