The son of former NHL forward Sylvain Couturier has outdistanced dad by growing from a defense-first player to one of the best two-way centers in the NHL. His development offensively has not diminished his play away from the puck, and he is capable of contributing in all situations. Has developed a knack for being in the right place at the right time to have the best possible chance to score, and his play along the wall continues to improve.

Long Range Potential: Excellent two-way center.
