Wideman is out indefinitely because of a back injury.
Scouting Report
Returned to the NHL after one season in the KHL, where he showed vastly improved offensive chops (and his 5’10” frame was less of a hindrance). Can move the puck well and has good mobility. He is not strong enough to knock many opponents off the puck or win a lot of battles in the corners, which limits his usefulness.
Long Range Potential: Puck-moving depth defenseman.
