Grubauer was the first goalie to exit the ice ahead of Monday's road clash with the Ducks, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports, indicating he'll be in goal.
The German goaltender is still trying to prove he can be effective as a 50-plus game NHL starter. He is a good athlete and has had success as part of a tandem, despite bouts with injuries and inconsistency. Has played well behind a strong team, and he is capable of stealing games. Ideally, he should be a tandem goaltender on a team with a solid second option who can play 30-40 games.
