Has outstanding size and good defensive acumen. An underrated player, he shows great commitment to playing a sound, stay-at-home game, rarely making mistakes in his own end. Also displays leadership qualities. Lacks the offensive ability to put up points on a consistent basis in the National Hockey League. Does not use his 6-3, 220-pound frame enough to intimidate the opposition (and keep scorers honest on the other bench).
