The Blackhawks acquired the rights to sign Rolston and Josh Dickinson from the Avalanche on Monday for Carl Soderberg.
His father Brian was a quality goal-scorer and skater at the National Hockey League level, and while he may not be as good in those areas he might have a stronger work ethic and better hockey sense than his dad. Committed to play his NCAA hockey at the University of Notre Dame. His frame is projectable and his skating ability should not be an issue in the pro ranks. He will need to fill out and get stronger in order to maximize output at the highest level. His ability to compete for pucks and specific areas on the ice add to his overall value for NHL teams.
