A defenseman who missed significant playing time in his draft year due to a skate cut on his forearm, he nevertheless saw his draft stock remain fairly high despite his injury woes (a testament to his overall talent). He displays excellent mobility, vision and passing skills. Cool under pressure, he is an excellent puck mover and a savvy, all-around blueliner who can log impressive amounts of ice time. Needs to shoot the puck more and improve the quality of his point shot in order to maximize his minutes on special teams at the highest level. There may be some lingering durability concerns here.
