DUGGER DEALT TO PITTSBURGH
The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired safety Kyle Dugger and a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 from the New England Patriots for a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have struggled badly on defense for most of 2025, so the hope here is that Dugger can help out in the secondary. He is a very inconsistent safety, though. Can Pittsburgh get the most out of Dugger this season?
What does it give the New England Patriots
The Patriots decided to move on from Dugger, who was a Bill Belichick draft pick that was largely a project when selected. He panned out early but has not been good in recent seasons. New England has enough depth at the safety position to cover.
Fantasy impact
At one time, Dugger was a pretty intriguing fantasy safety for IDP leagues. No longer. Pass on picking Dugger up.
