Jones is active for Sunday's matchup with the Panthers, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
A well-rounded, versatile package in the linebacker corps: fast, strong, fluidly athletic, and a playmaker all over the field. Piles up tackles with excellent technique, and is also very solid dropping back in coverage or stepping up on the edge and rushing the QB. A hard worker with leadership traits. Also a good special teams contributor. A bit of a late bloomer, and is still refining his overall technique. Very good in every area but doesn't yet quite stand out in one, and will need to find his niche as a pro. Somewhat undersized, so may be limited to weak-side duties.
Long Range Potential: Decent linebacker.
