McCoy didn't play in Saturday's 18-17 preseason win in Minnesota.
McCoy got the start in place of a sidelined Kyler Murray (knee) in Friday's preseason opener against Denver. He completed all four of his passes for 17 yards before giving way to the reserves.
Athletic, smart, and highly accurate. Makes quick decisions and has a quick release. Shows quick feet and can make plays on the run. Possesses enough size and leadership to be an NFL star. Lacks great arm strength and his deep throws can get a little lofty. Doesn't have ideal NFL quarterback size, which limits his deep vision and raises some durability questions.
Long Range Potential: Decent QB with pretty good tools.
