Relatively smallish for a defensive end, he excelled as an edge rusher as a senior at the FCS level (following three seasons playing off the ball as a linebacker at the University of Florida). His lack of size might prevent him from being a full-time edge rusher at the highest level, though he has shown a knack for getting to the quarterback. His ability to play special teams gives him a chance to showcase his athleticism.
