JADEN IVEY BROUGHT IN BY THE BULLS
In a three-team trade, the Chicago Bulls acquired guard Jaden Ivey from the Detroit Pistons, and guard Mike Conley from the Minnesota Timberwolves; Detroit acquired guard/forward Kevin Huerter and forward/center Dario Saric from the Bulls, and a protected right to swap first-round draft picks in 2026 from the Timberwolves; and Minnesota acquired cash considerations.
What does it give the Chicago Bulls
For the Bulls, landing Ivey could help them at the guard positions moving forward. He is a talented but inconsistent performer who probably needed a fresh start in the NBA. Conley is unlikely to remain with the Bulls and may be waived.
What does it give the Detroit Pistons
For the Pistons, this trade netted them a decent bench option in Huerter and the right to swap picks with Minnesota this year. Saric is a veteran who is unlikely to see much playing time down the stretch. This deal was about moving on from Ivey.
What does it give the Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves were added in this transaction to make the money work. They moved on from longtime guard Conley but there are rumors that he could be brought back if waived by Chicago. Stay tuned!
Fantasy impact
Ivey might become a little more fantasy-relevant after this trade but that may still not be enough in many league formats. The other three NBA players involved in this trade are unlikely to make much of a fantasy dent this season.
