A pure scorer with excellent hands and electric quickness, he could really fill it up in a hurry and was able to carry his team for stretches. Had a knack for hitting tough shots, with a nice mid-range game. Also drove the lane capably and showed solid instincts as a passer when teams overplayed him. Took care of the ball, too. A true shooting guard in a point guard's frame, he was not a pass-first distributor. His lack of size led to both defensive and durability issues. Took a few too many three-point shots for a player with streaky accuracy from the arc. He bounced around from team to team, although he almost always displayed his value everywhere he went.
