Coaches loved his winning attitude, which he harnessed with aplomb during his three years at the University of Virginia. Could play either guard position, which added value, though he was not very quick for the point and a tad undersized for the two-guard spot. Lacked optimum athleticism for the NBA, so he struggled to defend well enough at the highest level to maximize his minutes. A good scorer in the NCAA ranks, including both stellar three-point shooting and excellence at the free-throw line, he lacked consistency on offense and did not do a good enough job of distributing the ball when he played the point.
