ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday that Murray (Achilles) could return right after New Years, according to Pelicans Film Room.
Murray's (Achilles) rehab is going well, but there remains no timetable for his return to action, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports.
He brings a rare defensive game to the point guard position. Thanks to superb length and athleticism he can make life on opposing guards very hard with steals, blocks, and stops (and he's an exceptional rebounder for a guard). Brings wing size and is also a good distributor and an improving scorer. His shooting consistency (from the 3-point arc and from the free throw line) is still a challenge, as are turnovers. Overall efficiency is still a work in progress: his lack of bulk and his defensive intensity can sometimes result in foul trouble. Durability is a question mark too.
Long Range Potential: Long, instinctive 2-way point guard with some star potential.
