ATLANTA ADDS ARCIA
The Atlanta Braves acquired infielder Orlando Arcia from the Milwaukee Brewers for pitchers Chad Sobotka and Patrick Weigel.
What does it give the Atlanta Braves
In the 26-year-old Arcia, the Braves get a quality glove man for the infield. He will likely play all over the infield for Atlanta, and is viewed as an upgrade over the likes of Johan Camargo and Ehire Adrianza as the team's utility infielder.
What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers had three players (Arcia, Luis Urias and Travis Shaw) for two positions: shortstop and third base. Someone had to go, and it wound up being Arcia. Sobotka and Weigel will provide organizational bullpen depth.
Fantasy impact
Arcia should not be picked up in virtually any fantasy league because he is not expected to see enough at-bats to make an impact. Even with 500-plus at-bats, Arcia would be a borderline fantasy option. Pass.
