The Royals designated Bolanos for assignment Monday.
Scouting Report
The Cuban right-hander features an electric arm and the ability to dominate via the strikeout. He also owns an ideal pitchers' frame (6-3, 220 pounds). However, he lacks consistency and has trouble commanding his pitchers over the course of a game. Walks can also be a problem for him.
Long Range Potential: Talented, inconsistent right-hander with upside.
